PHOTOS OF THE TENACIOUS ARRIVING IN SYDNEY 27 JULY 2016
Tenacious is the largest operative wooden ship in the world. She entered Sydney Harbour after an epic nine month, 18,000 mile voyage from the UK, sailed by a crew of 40 persons, around half living with disability.
Tenacious is owned and operated by The Jubilee Sailing Trust, a UN-accredited charity. At 65 metres long and with a mast height of 39 metres Tenacious was built in 2000 by 1,500 volunteers.
In Sydney for the next 10 months Tenacious will be based at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour, while doing voyages to various parts of Australia.
